Brian Freeman's fiction has appeared in From the Borderlands (Warner Books), Borderlands 5 (Borderlands Press), The Best of Borderland (Borderlands Press), Corpse Blossoms (Creeping Hemlock Press), Shivers, Shivers II, Shivers III, Shivers IV (Cemetery Dance Publications), and many other magazines and anthologies.

His novel, Black Fire, was written under the pseudonym James Kidman. Published by Leisure and Cemetery Dance Publications, the book was nominated for the Bram Stoker Award and received rave reviews from Publishers Weekly, Fangoria, and many other publications.

Cemetery Dance Publications also published Blue November Storms, a novella, and The Illustrated Stephen King Trivia Book, which Brian co-wrote with Stephen King expert Bev Vincent. Glenn Chadbourne created over fifty unique illustrations for the book.
